McEwan Hall, Edinburgh University

Edinburgh University

Project Details

McEwan Hall is the graduation hall of the University of Edinburgh and dates back to 1894 .
In 2015 the hall was closed for refurbishment and reopened in time for the July 2017 graduations.
As part of the refurbishment works Diamond glass provided a combination of high performance laminated panels incorporating our Solar Smartglass for this project.
Glass was used for the refurbishment of the existing individual sets of circular and shaped windows surrounding the central dome of the building, allowing for the control of light in the building.
